Reunion, anyone?

With the movie and the book being released, I thought that some of you, like me, might think of this place and return to see if there had been any activity. I've finished the book- it was excellent, but makes me sad. I love Harry Potter so much, and all though it hasn't played a huge part in my life- (like Emerson Spartz, the founder of mugglenet) it's played a substainially large one. If it wasn't for these books, there would have been no movies, there would have been no tom felton, and we all would have never met. Well, give me your thoughts on the book and such! So, lots and lots of spoilers Snape - To me, this was the best/most important part of the book. He was a total jerk in the series, but his one chapter at the end made him practically my favourite character. He took care of Harry even though his love for Lily was always unrequited. And his last line, "Look...at...me..." just so that he could look into Lily's eyes again - that's pretty much the only part that I full-on cried for. Deaths - I personally was shocked that Harry, Ron, Hermione AND Ginny all lived! I thought that Harry was a goner for sure, or at least Ron. I love happy endings though, so no complaints! Dudley - I loooved the part with the Dursleys leaving, especially Dudley saying that he didn't think that Harry was a waste of space, lol, that was beautiful. And then Harry calls him Big D, which I was amused by, The Malfoys - I'm so glad that they redeemed themselves at the end. I always thought that Draco would come over to the good side, but I wasn't expecting his parents to do the same at all. And Harry saved him from the fire -yay! Okay that's more than I meant to write. I want to hear what everyone thought about the book as well + L A N A + Blood of the enemy, you will resurrect your foe.

Posts: 1234 (07/31/07 03:54:15) Headgirl Reply Quote More My Recent Posts Message Me Connection Blocking Invite Ignore User's Posts	I read it all the day after it came out, and I absolutely loved it! insert spoiler warning here I've heard heaps of people say the epilogue was cheesy, but I loved it! I was so happy for Harry, that he finally got to settle down and have a normal life with a wife and kids, about time I say! I LOVED Ron and Hermione's kiss at the end - in the battle of Hogwarts... I was like "yaaaaay! FINALLY!" It was so sweet. So glad they both survived too! Loved the whole Snape/Lily thing... He really should have been in Gryffindor, he was so loyal to Lily! So sweet that he would look after Harry over all those years, just because he was in love with his mother. And I love that Harry named one of his kids after him. (and Dumbledore) Oh, and Dobby!! So sad that he died. I named my dog after him a few years ago (he really is like Dobby - so submissive, and he's the size of a horse! :P), and the first thing I did when Dobby died was go out and make sure my dog was still alive! And Fred, too! Although I have to admit, I didn't cry when anybody died... but at the beginning when George lost his ear and was unconscious, then he woke up and started joking about it, I cried then, with relief. And poor Teddy Tonks/Lupin... He has no parents like Harry! Absolutely loved the book. Loved loved loved it! - Icons of Self Indulgence - "Make peace with the fact that you'll never be as cool as Johnny Depp."

To the horror of everyone else I loved the epilogue, I guess the cheesy fanfictiony side of me came out there, it was sweet and I was sooo happy to see Ginny and Harry together. Loved the book, by far the best and a great way to end the story
